- 1 19 oz can green peas ** (540 ml) drained I have used as much as 2 14oz cans
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup onions
- fried ( about 3 large or more)
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- salt and pepper to taste
- **may substitute canned fava beans for a brown colour to really resemble chopped liver.
Fry onions in the oil until dark brown.
In food processor process walnuts, peas, onions with the oil until almost smooth.
Add eggs and pulse until chopped and blended. Tje mixture should have the texture of real chopped liver.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
